Reporting to the Executive General Manager Southern Region, the People and Culture Manager provides a critical contribution to the building of our capability not only within the Southern Region but working collaboratively with their peers and stakeholders across the organization.

The role:

  • You will lead the Southern Region People & Culture team in the delivery of strategic, business focused human resource management, ER and OHS advice.
  • As a business partner work with key stakeholders to provide high level consultancy and advice to the leadership team in commercial people decisions ensuring that companywide initiatives that will continue to strengthen our culture and values.
  • As a trusted advisor continue to build Southern Region leadership teams capability, in order for long term strategic goals to be achieved.
  • Collaborate with P&C leaders and work closely with the Development and Coaching team to achieve organisational strategic goals to grow our people capability consistent with the application of in-house e-learning and training modules.
  • Design, develop and facilitate training and development programs to support strategic objectives at an organisational, departmental and individual level. Provide coaching and mentoring support and resources post training activities to embed learning.
  • Coach and develop the P&C Coordinator and P&C Administrator in their respective roles and responsibilities.
  • You will demonstrate a high level of support of the leadership team and in particular the Head of People and Culture and the EGM in achieving the strategic goals of the organisation.
  • Provide advice to employees and managers on the organisation’s performance management process and system through the utilization of bespoke capability frameworks

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Tertiary degree in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or similar related field essential
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ HR Generalist experience in managing the delivery of human resources services
  • Demonstrated experience working with organisational development programs and initiatives, including talent and performance management, succession planning, leadership frameworks, staff engagement and development
  • Knowledge of current organisational development theories and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and foster a positive and performance driven culture
  • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills with a strong focus on building their commercial acumen
  • Have a team first attitude and the willingness to learn
